a few months ago I saw my friend, barb and her husband, kirk, at a local restaurant. after exchanging greetings and hugs, barb shared some exciting news… ‘eddie is engaged!’ and you could see how happy this news made these parents. fast forward several weeks and I met this awesome woman named rachel at the berlin ‘say I do’ wedding show and really appreciated her thoughts and vision regarding her wedding photography – we had actually already had some conversations via email, but it was really nice to meet her in person. she and I scheduled a consultation shortly thereafter and dontcha know.. eddie was the groom! ¬†they already had a location and a few ideas in mind for their engagement session and from the sound of it, it was going to be a really fun shoot. needless to say, I was not disappointed – with a beautiful fall evening to play with, the property that they chose for their session had all of these beautifully restored buildings that the owner had saved from ruin. there was also a vintage pickup truck that caught my attention as soon as I drove up the lane. eddie is a cop and they used his career as inspiration for their save-the-dates which I thought was pretty cool. we worked until the sun went down and lit up the sky with one of the most beautiful sunsets that I’ve seen in a long time. I had such a fun evening with you both and am looking so forward to your wedding.
