One of the most rewarding things about what I do is the people I encounter and meet along the way.  I was kindly reminded of that when I met sweet Emily Mae and her mother and aunts.  Two weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my friends Jillian and Jeff’s wedding.  A lot of family and friends came together earlier that week to help create their big day including Jillian’s sister, Allison.  Allison had baby Emily on June 21, 2014 and decided to pass on her middle name, Mae, which is a 4th generation family name.  Emily was 6 pounds 1 ounce and 21 inches long.  I met up with Allie and Emily at their Aunt Sandy’s house on the Wicomico River where Jillian + Jeff were to be married 6 days later.  Jillian + Allie’s sister, Mallory, and their Aunt Sandy helped out with the shoot and we had a fun “girls day” that sunny afternoon talking everything from babies to ceremony details.  Emily was so happy the entire shoot.  We even brought out Emily’s grandmother’s beautiful, cathedral veil that Jillian would end up wearing on her wedding day.  Today is actually Grandma’s birthday and I loved how Emily’s little hands so delicately held some of her rings during our shoot.  It was truly wonderful to see all of the beautiful and strong women baby Emily has in her life and I’m so glad was able to spend the day with you and see you again for Jillian’s wedding.  Emily is such a sweetheart! :)
