1 throughout the history of the studio, I have met so many wonderful people with whom I’ve established such lovely relationships with for years after we’ve worked together. some bridesmaids have become brides, brides have become mothers, seniors have become brides.. and to continue to tell the stories of my clients and to become friends with so many is truly a gift. with heather, our history is truly unique. years ago I photographed the wedding of her mother, lora, which was a beautiful and intimate affair in their home by the bay. all day, heather was making sure that everything her mother had wanted and planned went off without a hitch.. and it was gorgeous! so it wasn’t too much of a surprise to me when I heard that heather was forming her own event planning business, HJ Planners in DC. I was so happy when she asked me to take photos of her and her team as she was building her brand which was growing so quickly and gaining such an amazing reputation for professionalism, creativity, and custom service. GPA began photographing weddings for HJ Planners and through them, we have met and worked with some of our favorite couples ever. ┬áthen… I started to hear about a man named scott. photos of them together started popping up and heather’s facebook page and she looked so happy! later that year, I met him when they were down here on the shore for the holidays and it was so clear that they were made for each other. I was so happy to see my friend blissfully in love and scott was such a wonderful guy and a perfect fit… an announcement that they were getting married soon thereafter was such happy news. they are getting married in charleston next month but they wanted to have their engagement photos done closer to home and we met up in saint michaels, one of my favorite places! we had a beautiful afternoon and it was so nice to spend so much time with them. they are clearly so excited for their upcoming wedding and I couldn’t be happier for them xoxo
