I knew that I liked charlene and shawn the first time I met them – and when I got their getting-to-know-you questionnaires back I REALLY liked them. nothing is better for a political junkie like myself to find out something politically entertaining about my couples. I loved when I read the answer to “what do you think is unique about you as a couple?” and their answer was “we are a bipartisan health policy couple.” now this isn’t a political blog by a longshot so I won’t call out who’s on which side – let’s just say I made have seen shawn wince a little when I said he reminded me of al gore
when charlene suggested starting at union station for their e-session I was in heaven. I love new locations and something as iconic as union station and DC in general had me giddy!

we met up at 5:00 so the station was buzzing and people were surprisingly cool about staying out of my shots. we scoured the place finding locations that you wouldn’t even really think about and a very nice restaurant manager allowed us into a “forbidden” area. once we left the station, I took their lead to the capitol and the russell senate office – despite the heat I was like a kid in a candy store.

I LOVED charlene’s dress and shoes – really classic and perfect for the session

their wedding is in october at the peabody in baltimore – one of my favorite places and actually where my grandmother went to college – and I am so excited to work both with you again. I had a great afternoon in DC!
