this is session 2 for our worcester prep senior rep anna. to see her first session at assateague, click here.  for the second part of our session we went to holly ridge which is a beautiful farm outside of powellville where anna rides horses. we had a gorgeous afternoon and were joined by anna’s mom and sister. the horse, sterling, was a rock star! very mellow and quite photogenic he listened to everything anna said and she was so good with him. I love the creamy light and really loved working again with anna - she’s so fun!

most of my brides make their initial inquiry via email and in these emails I usually receive the basic information for the weddings. when I got email number one from lindsey, my reaction was a little like this…. wedding date: october 2010 “yay! I love fall weddings” wedding location: the easton club “LOVE it and haven’t shot there for a long time” phone number: 315.xxx.xxxx “huh, wait, what - really???” not that I expect many of you to understand the significance of this - but area code 315 is a syracuse area code and was my area code for 15 years. I excitingly emailed her back - yes I was available - I loved the easton club - oh yeah, by the way… are you from syracuse? and she was and I was thrilled! during our correspondence this past winter we chuckled as everyone else panicked with record snowfall and began to plan her photography. she and tom wanted to do their e-session at trappe pond park and I had never been then - but I WILL be doing back! it’s gorgeous and has a lot of different places to shoot - wooded trails, by the water, etc. and they brought their dog really… nothing makes me happier than a happy couple with a happy dog

dian contacted me about 2 months ago about doing an e-session in oxford. I love oxford, so I was really excited about shooting there. It’s kind of rare that I get an inquiry for just an e-session, it’s usually part of one of our wedding collections. but that’s what they wanted and I was happy to oblige. dian and rick were staying at the combsberry inn in oxford and it is stunning, especially the grounds. I met up with rick outside and during our conversation, I discovered that they had actually been married the day before at the courthouse and that their main celebration was going to be held in thailand in march - THAILAND! of course I let them know that I’d be happy fold up all 6 feet of me into a suitcase to come along we started the session at combsberry and then drove into town where it ws easy to find some beautiful locations

ashley and bobby met at eagle’s landing where they both worked. the first summer they were too shy to even say hello, but by the second summer when he was a cart boy and she was a beer girl, they finally talked and the rest - as they say - was history! we began the session at the coconut mallory where they are having their reception - then it was off to the beach and we wrapped up the session at eagle’s landing - naturally. the chemistry between these two was apparent from the first snap of the shutter and I loved the juxtaposition of ashley’s fabulous dress & shoes with bobby’s casual look. very them!

when I arrived at their house before their e-session, baby wyatt was in the process of eating lunch. mom erin had told me that he was feeling a little under the weather but you’d never know it! the first time I sat down with erin wyatt was with her and was just the happiest baby I’d ever seen and this day was no exception. erin & mac met at his restaurant belly busters in ocean city and they are getting married at the sunset room - one of our favorite venues! we had decided that we were going to shoot part of the session as a family session - complete with dog mia and then do some photos of erin & mac.

bev is best friends with one of raye’s former brides melisssa - so this past wedding show season we were seeing the two of them everywhere excitingly planning bev’s upcoming wedding. when bev called us to shoot the wedding, we were really excited. the first time I sat down with bev & tom I had the best time. they have such a spirit of fun when they are together and were smiling & joking the whole time. when it came time to talk about their e-session, they knew that they wanted to shoot part of it at the green turtle in salisbury because that’s where they met for the first time so we started there - first shooting outside and then moving inside complete with a couple of cocktails! after that it was off to salisbury park

I met up with christine & bill in annapolis for their e-session and we had a great time - I was especially fond of the fact that christine is an eagles fan and that bill brought me coffee! 2 things that are very close to my heart! these two are just fun - as we wandered the streets of annapolis, they were so filled with energy and SO obviously smitten with each other.  bill is actually a photographer too for the military and once we had gone to a couple of spots, he was reading my mind as we approached the next location - a future wedding photographer perhaps? he’d be great! what I loved was that we had time to really talk and get to know each other better and I am so excited for their wedding!

meet anna - our worcester prep senior rep! for my senior sessions I like to include some of the many things that make students approaching their final year of high school so fun - their hobbies, interests and where they like to go. and the beach is always a popular location! so I met up with anna and her mom at assateague for the first part of her session. part two was at a horse farm that we shot yesterday. anna was so much fun! I was laughing the entire shoot - and yesterday was just as great - look for part 2 in a few days

kellie & steve just hired GPA recently for a wedding in mid-september so we had to get their e-session done asap. I could tell when we initially sat down to meet for the first time that they were going to be fun to work with! when we met up in berlin, steve hinted that he may not be too fond of having his photo taken which I totally relate to - I hate it! I think a lot of photographers do. but as soon as he looked at kellie it was like he was a pro - they were so cute together! we started the session in berlin and then went to assateague

I met up with jessica & danny at winterplace park. it was my first time there and it was such a happy discovery! it is beautful with amazing walking trails and just a really serene location. they brought their two dogs which always makes me happy. we had a great morning strolling, talking and stopping here and there to take some photos. jessica and danny have a wonderful wedding planned for next month and I’m so excited to work with them again soon!
